Your Job The IT Project Manager, as an integral part of the IT Project Management capability, is responsible for managing key IT projects for SES Group business units. The incumbent will work directly with business units' representatives to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable time, scope and budget. She / He will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and in line with the strategic program. This position may be based in either Manassas, Virginia or Princeton, New Jersey. Your Responsibilities Plan IT projects, managing a team of IT professionals, implementing technology solutions and the execution of all technology-related tasks and initiatives Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Understand current and future business goals and ongoing IT issues to ensure business success Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and scope: Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize on project progress Prepare reports for stakeholders regarding project status Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects Oversee all aspects of projects Ensure project deliverables are compliant with internal policies and procedures including our Enterprise Architecture and Security Framework Ensure adequate focus on change management to ensure proper adaptation of new solutions Ensure resource availability and allocation Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques Report and escalate to management as needed Manage the relationship with the business units and all stakeholders Perform risk management to minimize project risks Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Meet with business units to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals Meet budgetary objectives and operate adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members Use and continually develop leadership skills Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency Perform other related duties as assigned What's in it for you? Your Competencies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proven project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Proven understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies Proven project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Innovative spirit and business acumen Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex ideas to people at all levels of the organization, ability to communicate effectively with both Business and IT Ability to overcome resistance to change Technologically curious Results oriented with a pragmatic approach Ability to think strategically across the business while effectively interacting with customers, partners, sales, marketing and technical roles Detail oriented with a proven ability to self-motivate and follow-through on tasks Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment under tight timelines and with minimal oversight Your Profile Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent Minimum eight to ten years of applicable professional experience, preferably in a similar position and in industrial, High Tech or IOT driven companies Proven experience in delivery of large-scale IT focused projects Strong experience with business analysis and business process design Solid general knowledge of agile techniques including: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, DevOps, Continuous Testing Good knowledge of, at least, one of the following domains: Internet of Things, Security, Mobile & Online Applications, Big Data, Analytics Good understanding of the Telecommunication and Satellite industry as an asset Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset Willingness to travel internationally
