ELEVATED SENSORS MULTI-FUNCTIONAL FIELD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (FSR) - Locations: Iraq, Kuwait, and HOA GDIT has an exciting role for an Elevated Sensors Multi-Functional FSR is to serve as a technical expert throughout their area of responsibility (AOR) located in Southwest Asia (SWA). Individual will work at the front end of the delivery of our sustainment effort providing the warfighter fully mission capable (FMC) state-of-the-art C4ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) and FP (Force Protection) systems. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated, suitably experienced, trained, and able to follow instructions clearly and able to make command decisions on the spot in order to achieve the aims of the mission and the organization. Job efforts include performing site surveys, installation/de-installation, training, testing and repair. Successfully passing the formal BETSS-C Training on Elevated Sensor Systems will preclude deployment into SWA. NOTE: Classes Start February 2, 2019. If selected, candidate must pass the Pre-Class Examination Test at the BETSS-C school. If not, the employment will end at that time Essential Duties and Strengths: Performs site surveys to ensure the location is suitable for the equipment; discuss options with on-site commander Installs and configures the following mechanical and electronic components: 80 and 107-foot RAID towers, PSS-G Heavy and Medium Towers, FLIR Star Safire III & HD cameras, GREENS and AES systems, copper and fiber optic cables, LANs, MSTAR radars, VOIP phones, network switches, Linux and Windows PC's, point-to-point radios, 5kW power generators, hydraulic lifts and fiber optic modems Trains small groups of operators on tower raising and lowering and preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS), operations, and troubleshooting techniques on each system and its components Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation and repair or replacement of defective components. Troubleshooting and repairs may be highly complex in nature and involve mechanical assemblies, hydraulics and electrical, electronic and optical components Perform operations checks on systems prior to moving systems from each site to ensure 100% functionality for the next installation Perform inspections of installed equipment to verify accountability of BETSS-C assets Provide Technical representation at meetings and consultations with clients or their representatives Advise the unit commander on the feasibility, functionality and capabilities of the Sensor Systems assigned to the AOR Work in conjunction with the unit commander on the ground to ensure all the unit's requirements for the Sensor Systems are met Individual will be the on-site point liaison for the customer Interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful way Multi-task efficiently and work in a fast pace environment Creates trouble tickets and requests parts through a proprietary database Contacts and coordinates with internal departments for parts Travel to multiple locations within Southwest Asia as required The Ideal Candidate must have: Must have an active US Government SECRET clearance Must have a current US Passport with at least 2 years remaining before expiration date plus more than 4 empty pages for stamps/visa's HS Diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience BS or equivalent Military/Technical Experience Experience in electronics troubleshooting and component level repair Valid driver's license IT Networking experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
