To supervise and train Ophthalmic Technicians in the performance of standardized ophthalmic measurements and procedures; assist physicians in diagnostic, therapeutic, and corrective procedures and coordinate all ancillary testing in the Ophthalmology department. Minimum of two years of college to include basic medical terminology, anatomy and science knowledge. Must have current certification as a COT according to iJCAHPO standards. Three to five years of experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is required. Minimum two years of supervisory or manager experience in an ophthalmology setting is required.
