We have an urgent need for a locum tenens psychiatric nurse practitioner in Maryland. This is a full-time position in an inpatient setting covering the full gamut of psychiatric cases. The patient population includes all ages, 14 and older. Typical cases include schizophrenia, bipolar, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders with substance abuse as the secondary diagnosis. The locum will round on 15 patients per day at most, with a maximum of 4 admissions. There is no call required. The medical director and 1 full-time psychiatrist will share this unit, and general practitioners take H&Ps. Candidates must be psych certified with a minimum of 3 years of psych experience. EMR system is used for notes.
