The Single-Family Collateral Operations team is responsible for the change management, production support and baseline functions for various Loan Advisor Applications and is currently seeking an Operations Change Management Professional to drive clarity and be innovative as we solution to improve speed to market for Freddie Mac projects and capabilities. The hired individual will be responsible for the coordination and deployment (from a business area point of view) for assigned projects and products. Sometimes referred to as an application subject matter expert who will work closing with the project teams to identifying, evaluating, designing, developing, and implementing new or enhanced offerings, and business or technology projects.

Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:

Change Management
  • Analyze new offerings and enhancements to assess impact to applications
  • Work with project team to set and meet project deliverables
  • Daily issue management and incident management support for numerous applications and services
  • Interact and communicate with both business and technical personnel to solve business challenges
  • Perform production validation testing during maintenance hours

Data Management
  • Research and answer questions regarding system functionality, data movement, and process.
  • Leverage tools to profile data and conduct data discovery
  • Develop strategies to solve problems in logical yet creative ways
  • Create reports and presentations accompanied by strong data visualization and storytelling
  • Present technical information to non-technical colleagues in an understandable and actionable way

Risk Management
  • Identify, understand and manage Information and Technology risk associated with operational processes for supported applications
  • Perform risk assessments to reassess current risks and to identify emerging key risks (operational, compliance, technology, third party vendor, etc.); identify and assess control effectiveness and/or gaps.
  • Assist with the ongoing monitoring of Vendor relationship to ensure contractual responsibilities are adhere to
  • Review Vendor performance to confirm SLA's are met
  • Evaluate the aggregated risk and dependencies identified for Vendors and escalate for action, as necessary


  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to adapt to various project methodology documentation types,
  • Detail-oriented with strong analysis, problem solving and critical thinking
  • Effective influence, collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Prior experience with software release management processes and/or Incident Management
  • Experience with data analytics, business intelligence and data management tools
  • Familiarity with agile engineering and automation tools such as Git, Cucumber, Selenium, Jenkins and Docker
  • Knowledge of SAS and/or SQL and development of queries using differing data sources
