The Senior Manager of Education oversees the production of annual conference education and in-person seminars such as partner schools and the NRPA Directors School. Producing the curriculum for conference requires coordination with the meetings team, education committee, and other internal stake holders to identify, schedule and handle other logistics required to produce successful conference education events. This individual is responsible for managing the curricula, budgets, faculty, and logistics of delivering in-person schools on a variety of topics. The Senior Manager of Education role also acts as liaison to AAPRA regarding the management and administration of the Gold Medal and Hall of Fame contracted programs.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 range. Salary requirements are required with submission.

Applicants will first be evaluated on the completeness and qualifications of application materials. Qualified applicants will then be invited for a phone screen and selected applicants will be invited to an in-person interview. Finalists will be required to complete a sample writing activity and submit references for a reference check. The interview process is scheduled to begin the first week of October.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Leads and produces the Annual Conference educational programming from selection through to delivery in coordination with the NRPA member committees and internal stakeholders, encouraging innovation and quality program development.

Identifies, recruits, and secures cutting-edge or outstanding subject matter experts to serve as speakers for Annual Conference, NRPA and partnered schools, and events.

Assures marketing and communication efforts for conferences and schools align with the strategic mission of both the educational programs and NRPA.

Manages meetings and provides operational support in producing quality educational experiences in NRPA and partner schools.

Maintains data integrity of enrollment, credits earned, and evaluation data for continued assessment of program quality and effectiveness.

Develops and maintains partnerships and alternative revenue sources that further support the schools and their attendees.

Act as a liaison for NRPA to the Academy of Park and Recreation Administrators to provide operational assistance for the Gold Medal and Hall of Fame awards.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or continued education equivalent preferred.

Experience. 3-5 Years of equivalent association experience preferred.Specific skills.

An understanding of adult learning required. Customer service, event management, and organizational skills a plus.
