Job Overview: This position offers a complex blend of employee relations initiatives designed to support the needs of People Leaders and Colleagues. Strong organizational and coaching skills are critical for this position. This role interacts with all levels of management regarding a wide variety of topics and provides support and creates a culture that values retention, coaching, career development and succession planning. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: Partner with Colleague Support to understand the business; implement programs, practices and solutions to attain business objectives Work closely with location leadership to promote a workplace environment that successfully balances positive employee relations with the organization's objectives Provide consultation to management on various HR-related laws, policies and practices, and ensure legal compliance Be an advocate for Colleagues and People Leaders in leveraging AskHR / MyHR Assist with employee relations issues and investigations Provide prompt response to high-level Employee Relations events; including, but not limited to Reasonable Suspicion and Workplace Violence Respond to negative employment decisions, eg Background Check and SIS Hits Partner with People Leaders and coach as necessary, eg policy interpretation, administration and performance issues Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Qualifications: Education/Experience: College degree or equivalent HR work experience.Prior DC or operations environment experience preferred but not required.Knowledge of PC programs.Knowledge of state and federal employment laws. Communication Skills: Proven communications skills: both written and verbal. Mathematical Skills: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and analytical skills. Reasoning Ability: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions.Demonstrate ability to quickly navigate through employee relations issues and make difficult decisions. Physical Demands: This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time. Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.Other Skills: Leadership/teamwork/interpersonal skills .Negotiating skills. Proven Leadership experience. Ability to be organized in a fast-paced environment.
