Pear Plum Cafe is a neighborhood cafe serving high quality coffee drinks, house-made pastries, and delicious breakfast and lunch food. We also host private parties and our own food-inspired classes, dinners, and gatherings in collaboration with our sister business Each Peach Market. We have a burgeoning retail section where we showcase original gifts and plants. We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our team and help us grow. Cafe Operations :Oversees day to day operations of Pear Plum CafeWork as shift lead as neededEnsures highest levels of quality and consistency in all products served to customersEnsures high levels of customer service including greeting customers, taking orders, and serving ordersMaintains high standards of organization and cleanliness throughout the cafe including in the back stock areasMaintains equipment in working order; troubleshooting problems and arranging for repairsEnsures all retail areas are properly stocked, inventoried, and attractively arrangedManages petty cash, cash tips distribution, and cash depositsStaff Management Assists with hiring of all staffDoes the weekly schedulePlans shift huddles and staff meetingsAssists with staff trainingAssists with developing new cafe systemsCoordinates orders between Pear Plum Cafe and Each Peach MarketCoordinates orders with outside vendorsEnsures that all staff adhere to all food safety regulations including proper dress and hygieneBusiness Performance : Monitors and is accountable for overall business performanceParticipates in the senior leadership team meetings for Each Peach/Pear Plum business family Works with Catering and Events Manager and senior leadership team to develop events calendar and to execute specific events Works with Head of Kitchen and Deli and senior leadership team to develop and sustain the coffee and food programs with a focus on seasonal rotation of coffee, food, and specials.
