The Council for Advancement and Support for Education (CASE) is recruiting for a Manager, Marketing (Membership), reporting to the Sr. Director, Channel Deployment. Advancing education in nearly 3,700 member institutions, CASE has more than 90,000 individual members in 82 countries. Currently these include alumni relations, advancement services, communications, fundraising, government relations, and marketing. These professionals are at all stages of their career and may be working in universities, schools, colleges, the arts and cultural sector, or other not-for-profits. CASE membership also includes many corporate partners. CASE uses the intellectual capital and professional talents of an extensive network of volunteers to advance its work. Headquartered in Washington, DC CASE works across all continents from its offices in London, Singapore, and Mexico City. CASE works to achieve a seamless experience for all its communities: particularly its members, volunteers, and staff. Its new strategic plan seeks to make CASE truly global. Working together across time zones and borders, CASE staff in all offices seek to make this ambitious OneCASE aspiration a reality. POSITION PURPOSE The primary duty of this position is to manage the marketing strategy that promotes CASE membership and associated benefits to grow revenue, member engagement and awareness of CASE. This position will need to be able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and clients that may compete for time and attention. Interpersonal communications skills are critical. A background in digital UX is also key. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The core functions of this position include but are not limited to the following: Program/Project Management Manages marketing plans-working with senior staff in the Volunteer and Member Engagement group-that deploy outreach strategies to recruit and retain institutional and individual members, per the CASE strategic plan. Supports marketing plans for the promotion of other CASE benefits, products and services and for membership marketing campaigns, placing a high priority on AMAtlas products and conferences. Ensures schedules include reviews and approvals with the right internal clients. Ensures content is clear and that digital messages and website updates are delivered on schedule. Manages cross-functional teams to collaborate on integrated marketing tactics to promote CASE products and services, including books, digital white papers and reports, career center, and research. Analyzes the effectiveness of these strategies, reports on the success of strategies, and revises strategies to create a stronger ROI. This position will identify key audience segments, as well as assess channel effectiveness and integration with communication teams. In collaboration with digital communications staff, uses other digital channels such as social media and e-newsletters to create messages that align with membership marketing strategy. Creates a content marketing strategy that drives member engagement at CASE and that helps position the organization as a thought leader in higher education. Posts and updates marketing content to the CASE website and mobile formats of CASE content. Evaluates the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Participates as necessary in analyzing market research, web analytics and other data to determine audience preferences. Fiscal Management/Budget Responsibilities/Judicious Use of Resources Exercises fiscal responsibility in the use of all CASE resources. Liaison Responsibilities Exhibits appropriate leadership toward and work cooperatively and supportively with all volunteers for which this position is responsible. This may include the Board, Districts, Commissions, and others. Collaborates with CASE colleagues in other parts of the world to ensure the best sharing of effective practices.
