The Senior Systems Engineer should be a visionary technical leader with strong tactical excellence, technical acumen, and consultative skills combined with a solid understanding of business and related IT platforms, topography, and product lifecycle management. The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the technical design, development, and implementation for a single IT system for a federal agency. The Senior System Engineer has the overall responsibility for ensuring compliance and architecture. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible to lead and manage the technical team working closely with the federal POCs, Management and IT Services Office to ensure architecture, design, development and test services meet the stated requirements. What You'll Do Lead the application development team in developing and delivering technology solutions that maximize the customer experience and to lead and perform successfully in a fast-paced environment Serve as the development, technical lead and technical architect for project and hold overall responsibility for ensuring compliance and architecture for the projects Interpret complex requirements; and design, develop, and implement applications systems and components using Microsoft Development Tools Provide technical excellence required to build and maintain software products Work across all layers (full stack) of an application, from back-end databases through UI Provide comprehensive technical best practices and guidance on IT systems Lead a team of .Net Developers to develop custom web applications and services Utilize Team Foundation Server (TFS) to manage source code, agile process work items, and sprints Direct the design and development team to design, code, integrate, and test all software to meet the requirements of the applicable development efforts in accordance with the approved design Conduct architecture review and assessment of the overall solution and target solution architectures Develop and maintain program documentation and correspondence Coordinate with the team and compile weekly/monthly status reports Must Haves Master's Degree in information technology, computer science, information management, or related field and Eight (8) years of experience with implementation of Information Technology including infrastructure, information assurance engineering, access control and client services. Three (3) years of experience in a senior leadership engineering position developing software applications with modern languages OR Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, information management, or related field Twelve (12) years of experience with implementation of Information Technology including infrastructure, information assurance engineering, access control and client services. Five (5) years of experience in a senior leadership engineering position developing software applications with modern languages AND Five (5) years of experience working in a Capability Maturity Model Integration for Services (CMMI-SVC) and/or Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) Level III or higher environment 5-7 years experience designing, developing and maintaining web applications with ASP.NET (Web Forms/MVC), jQuery, JavaScript, C#, Angular, SQL Server Experience building technical architecture and developing technical designs for web applications Experience in full life cycle and a solid knowledge of web technologies in both front-end and back-end application development Experience and/or familiarity preferred with the following Technology Stack: Solution Stack : Windows Server (Operating System), Internet Information Services (Web Server), .NET (Software Framework) and MS SQL Server (Database) Architecture : Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Design Patterns Design and Development tools : MS Team Foundation Server 2017, Visio, Axure, Erwin, Angular.JS, Visual Studio and Windows Communication Foundation Testing Tools : Selenium, Sortsite, JMeter Security Tools : Trend Antivirus, TripWire and CounterTack Disaster Recovery : Net Vault Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred Designed interfaces between applications using Service Oriented Architecture (preferred) Experience with enterprise-scale data warehouse technologies (preferred) Familiarity with Section 508 compliance Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Visio and PowerPoint Well-organized and self-directed individual; ability to balance and prioritize competing requirements Excellent communication skills and analytical skills Nice to Haves Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred Designed interfaces between applications using Service Oriented Architecture (preferred) Experience with enterprise-scale data warehouse technologies (preferred) Why Tantus?
