Description Job Description: Leidos Corporate Legal is seeking a dynamic and experienced technology attorney to serve as the principal lawyer for its Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and Chief Security Officer, and their teams. This full-time role will advise the General Counsel and the company on various issues including new and emerging information technology, cybersecurity, insider threats, and security classifications. Reporting into the SVP and Deputy General Counsel, the successful candidate will have a significant role in providing legal support for the business. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and work well with external parties and with all levels of management and staff, while participating in a collegial, team-oriented environment. Travel may occasionally be required. Primary Responsibilities : Provide advice and counsel to the GC, CIO, and CISO on legal issues related to new and emerging technology. Support Leidos' comprehensive cybersecurity and insider threat programs. Support the development of Leidos' cybersecurity policies, products, assessments, and reports. Continuously develop and refine Leidos' incident response processes, including in response to specific regulatory requirements. Work closely with the Leidos privacy function to ensure integration and consistency of cybersecurity programs and compliance with US and international privacy protection regimes. Work with senior management to address and mitigate cybersecurity incidents and comply with applicable reporting requirements. Work with the Leidos security function to maintain and update security investigation guidelines, conduct security investigations, and provide advice and counsel in the areas of security and facility clearance law. Liaise with government regulators and law enforcement regarding cybersecurity incidents, new initiatives, and regulatory compliance. Represent Leidos at various government and industry association functions and forums. Negotiate high value technology transactions with key IT and security suppliers. Work with and manage outside counsel on investigations and litigation matters. Respond to data spills of sensitive information on technology platforms including proprietary information, export controlled data, and classified information. Required Qualifications : Juris Doctor and minimum of 5 years of in-depth attorney experience working in the field of cybersecurity, security, and/or technology. Demonstrated skills in client management and ability to communicate effectively with clients. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and collaboration. Superior written and oral communication skills. Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad range of matters. Self-motivated and ability to work independently without extensive supervision. Hard-working team player with a can do attitude. Experience with cybersecurity standards, frameworks, risk assessments, and certification processes, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the requirements of DFARS 252.204-7012. Experience advising sophisticated companies on legal issues in establishing cyber defenses and investigating security incidents. Desired Qualifications : Strong academic background with a Juris Doctorate from a top law school. TS/SCI preferred or eligible. Experience with the NISPOM. Experience advising clients in the healthcare and government contracting sectors.
