Oversees the security infrastructure for OPM to include security safety and emergency management activities. OPM's security program includes personnel security, physical security, field operations, and information security; Serves as OPM's principal point of contact with the White House, FEMA, Office of Homeland Security and other various Federal, state and local agencies regarding security and emergency actions; Coordinates emergency functions within OPM related to continuity of operations and government, evacuation protocols, and recovery and with local, state and Federal entities on disaster preparedness issues Develops long-range strategic plans for efficient provision of facilities and property management support services to the Agency. This includes property management and maintenance, transportation, and space and facilities acquisition and management; Assesses the quality and effectiveness of customer service to OPM clients and external customers. Adjusts resources as necessary to insure that top quality customer service is available on a timely basis. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated experience managing an enterprise-wide security services management program to include at least two of the following areas: physical security, personnel security, information security, or emergency action programs. Current OPM employees may qualify as an exception. Salary for Senior Executive Service positions varies depending on qualifications. Selected candidate will be subject to a one-year probationary period in the Senior Executive Service unless required probationary period has previously been served.
