Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. ASP.NET MVC Developer for a 1-year remote contract position. The client would prefer candidates to be living within a 2-hour drive of Elkridge, MD (such as Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA, Richmond, VA and Baltimore, MD) because selected individual will be asked to travel to Elkridge for meetings/ planning sessions 1-2 days a month. Individual should have at least 7 years of full life-cycle application development experience using C# on the .NET Framework. Individual will join a team of .NET/ Web Developers responsible for the development of new and enhancement of existing enterprise applications. The position will consist of C#/ ASP.NET MVC middle-tier, Web API (REST) and SQL Server database development. This is part of a large-scale modernization project, moving from C#/ ASP.NET Web Forms to C#/ ASP.NET MVC/ .NET CORE. There may be some initial programming in support of the current platform, but programming will mainly be tied to the move to C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .NET CORE and Angular. Individual should have prior experience integrating with and accessing data using Web API/ RESTful Web Services. Individual must have strong T-SQL development skills (eg, writing stored procedures, building out tables, etc.). Should be well-versed in design structure for MVC and object-oriented techniques. Experience with Angular and .NET Core are pluses for this position, but not required. Healthcare industry experience is also a plus.
