Title: Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (VA)Type: Full time, exempt (salary)Location: Falls Church, VAReports To: PrincipalVisit Us: DFM Development Services has a need to hire an internal Licensed Professional Civil Engineer to assist with various tasks within our unique multi-disciplined consulting operation that supports our real estate developer clients throughout the Metro DC Region. These divisions that require support include Bond Release, Dry Utility Design and Coordination and Stormwater Compliance. The ideal candidate will be certified in VA,DC, and MD and have some experience using AutoCAD. This is an exciting opportunity for a PE that is looking for a non-traditional position and wants the ability to work on numerous different tasks tied to the real estate development process.Disclaimer:The following description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential responsibilities of work performed by employees within this classification. It is not a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required.:. Prepare, sign/seal, and submit as-built certifications on stormwater projects. Assist with preparing signing/sealing and submitting bond reductions. Perform permanent stormwater maintenance facilities inspections and prepare, sign/seal and submit reports.. Manage other projects and tasks that arise on our numerous bond release management, stormwater compliance and dry utility design and coordination projects.. Review and evaluate other testing information and certifications provided by client's consultants. Assist with analysis of and design of stormwater management facilities:Civil engineer licensed in Virginia is required, huge plus if certified in DC and MD alsoMinimum of 1-year experience in either civil design/engineering, transportation planning/engineering, geotechnical engineering or civil construction/materials testing or some other real estate design related disciplineBasic understanding of or desire to learn the basics of how the real estate development design process worksExperience in private real estate development projects (to some capacity) is highly preferredCompensation:.
