We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop cutting edge software which will provide the basis for future Naval capabilities! Responsibilities: Research and development for Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren to engineer software which expands Naval capability to address emerging requirements Identify changes needed and update models and simulations of complex system interactions Develop use cases and perform testing of models and simulations Commute to Dahlgren, VA to visit Navy customer as needed (primary work location is Fredericksburg, VA) Required Skills and Experience: 5+ years of practical programming experience with a language such as C++ Experience in building, packaging, and delivering products on time in accordance with established CM/DM procedures. The personality that works well with creative, proactive, personable and friendly people Preferred Skills and Experience: Programming in a Linux development environment Experience with executable models Demonstrated experience with UML/SysML using MagicDraw or comparable modeling tool Experience with Surface Navy combat systems (Aegis) Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or an Engineering Discipline Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
