DIGITAL MARKETING / SEO SPECIALIST At Clutch, our Digital Marketing & SEO Specialist will wear many hats (classic startup). The best fit will be able to analyze the data, define actionable next steps, and communicate to other stakeholders the strategy behind those next steps. A passion for deep analysis of web technologies and SEO is a must. Ability to build strategic paid search campaigns that support PPC and conversion optimization efforts would be a plus. Responsibilities: Report directly to the CEO and other team leads Stay ahead of any Google algorithm changes Support the product team to make recommendations to improve website performance and identify "low-hanging fruit" for scaling currently manual processes. Support the business and marketing teams in identifying best practice organic SEO strategies Guide paid search strategy alongside team leads and CEO Identify opportunities to improve crawling, indexation page remapping, and URL structure updates Site audits coinciding with all product updates and changes. Report against both organic and paid implementations Work with the product team to define technical SEO requirements Requirements: Ability to recognize common technical issues and explain their solutions coherently, ensuring teammates understand the recommendations Work closely with team leads to communicate PPC/organic strategy, progress and results Experience with industry tools (Moz, Ahrefs, SEMRush, BrightEdge, STAT, Google Search Console, ScreamingFrog, Deepcrawl) Experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Omniture Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript A strong understanding of search engine crawlers Experience in/familiar with canonicalization, client and server side redirects, pagination, crawl budget, xml sitemaps Understanding of structured markup Familiarity with featured snippets, rich snippets, and other SERP features Demonstrated analytical skills and data-driven approach to problem-solving Experience: 3-5 years experience in a data-driven and technical digital marketing and SEO role Nice To Haves and/or Growth Opportunities: 2+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search marketing (either in-house or for an agency) Drupal, and front-end framework familiarity is a plus Familiarity with log file analysis Explore opportunities and facilitate campaigns through all available marketing channels (eg PPC, SEO display, email and social media) Ability to research technical issues and make actionable and well-informed recommendations based on your findings Comfortable retrieving and analyzing data from Google Webmaster Tools Advanced proficiency in Google Ads, Google AdsEditor and Excel skills (pivot tables, look-up function and conditional functions)
