Overview By Light has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Systems & Network Administrator to join the IT Team at our headquarters located in McLean, VA. Responsibilities The System & Network Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of systems, implementing critical system patches, responding to incidents, scheduling O&M activities including associated hardware. Duties include: Implement baseline changes and ability to respond to change requests Perform technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported servers Build servers by providing technical configuration, setup, installation services, hardware and coordination of application projects Operate and maintain supported servers Create and document new methods supporting network/system operations and implement changes to existing procedures (when necessary) Consult with support teams, help desks, customers and other technical staff in the resolution of problems Coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks and servers Identifies recurring problems and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems/issues that may arise Maintain current and accurate logs, accurately documenting all system outages and pertinent follow-up information as required Work on multiple concurrent projects Required Experience/Qualifications Proficient in Windows 7 & 10 Professional, Windows Server 2012R2 & 2016. Microsoft Active Directory to manage policies & objects Use and manage imaging system such as CloneZilla Experienced in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus Microsoft 365 solutions, including Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint and Office 365 Administrator console Microsoft Azure tenant VMware version 6 or higher & ESXI SAN storage technologies such as Dell Blade Arrays and Power Connect Installation, operation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN network infrastructure including: Wireless networks VPN
