We are seeking a hands-on developer and operations professional highly skilled in VMWare vRealize Orchestration (vRO) and Ansible Tower, automation frameworks. DevOps methodologies, Agile practices, and industry experience are key differentiator for this position. The incumbent will help define the parameters for infrastructure automation and CICD automation, adhere to set automation standards, and maintain awareness of industry best practices. Acts as an advisor and counselor to management and customers on automation needs and capabilities. Will work within an existing team, and across teams to provide end to end solutions as well as specific functionality enhancements. This team is modernizing how infrastructure and applications are deployed, maintained, and monitored. Our goal is to equip our operations teams with timely information on availability, performance, and capacity for applications and infrastructure. Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories Leadership Ability to work across the organization with minimal guidance to gain cooperation, promote Automation services, and communicate to business and leadership Ability to exercise best judgement in difficult situations and resolve complex issues Gain cooperation from other areas by influencing positively and by building relationships Peer review code and accept review and feedback in a professional manner Technical Skills JavaScript and Python programming skills and experience needed vRealize Orchestrator or similar technology skills and experience needed Support enterprise disaster recovery program through our services Experience in implementation of Ansible for configuration and automation or similar tools Skill in usage and integration of REST, and SOAP APIs Familiarity with ELK stack for monitoring and performance management Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable infrastructure as code Participate in technology assessment for onboarding of new applications to vRA platform Knowledge of industry standard automation tools, processes, and procedures to support CICD with a goal of infrastructure as code Support enterprise disaster recovery program through our services Change Agent Champion technology and tools change that improves delivery processes Act as an agent for change to reflect the latest standards in new technologies and tools Serve as an enterprise subject matter expert (SME) 5-7 years of relevant Information Technology experience 5+ years of developer experience with a passion for Agile delivery of new capabilities In depth experience designing solutions that are: secure, resilient, scalable, transformative Fluent in JavaScript and Python programming languages as well as Unix shell and other modern scripting languages Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, any related field, or equivalent experience Strong work ethic, self-motivated, independent, and works with minimal direction Key to success in this role A sense of humor Self-starter and self-motivated Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a team environment Sense of urgency and able to apply risk-based approach to prioritize work Motivated to learn new technologies and identify process improvements and efficiencies Ability to adapt to change while continuing to deliver on assigned objectives Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, persuasively with technology and business stakeholders Top 3 Personal Competencies to possess Drive for Execution - Be accountable for strong individual and team performance Partnership - Build trust and strong partnerships through your own and team's actions Growth and Development - Know or learn what is needed to deliver results and successfully compete Preferred Skills Exposure to the financial services industry Familiar with cloud technologies Disaster Recovery implementation and automation.
