As the Consulting and Operations Manager of MWAA Labs, you will direct and lead consulting efforts, training and deployment activities, and maintenance and operations of MWAA Labs' innovative products, solution, and services at Airports Authority and other airport facilities.

Consulting and Operations Manager, MWAA Labs

Serves in the MWAA Labs of the Office of Technology at the Headquarters Office.

Directly, and through subordinate staff, supports commercial proposal solicitation for MWAA Labs' products and rollout out to the Airports Authority and other airport facilities. Manages high-quality software application implementations, consolidates application system portfolio, and manages dependent third parties while directly interacting with end users and executive leadership. Facilitates integration collaborations with various stakeholders, consults, deploys, supports and operates innovative new products, solutions and services. Performs related duties.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitates selection technologies and associated capabilities to effectively support rollout of new products, solutions and services for both Airports Authority and commercial market space.

Establishes resource and technology capacity plan for security and rapid scaling along with efficient deployment for seamless operations.

Ensures software applications and their integration between various systems are functioning optimally and monitoring capabilities are in place for effective deployment and post-rollout operation.

Adopts and maintains DevSecOps, Agile, ISO, ITIL, NIST, PMI, FEA and TOGAF frameworks for effective development and operations of products, solutions and services.

Builds an MWAA Labs' product rollout strategic roadmap and leads simultaneous multiple implementations along with resource planning.

Collaborates and plans with security, quality assurance, and product development teams to help with deployment and operation of innovative new products, solutions and services at Airports Authority and other customers' locations.

Supports IT Strategy and Business Development teams with marketing, sales and customers services efforts.

Helps with MWAA Labs business strategy formulations and planning with Airports Authority Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

Supports Airports Authority Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer and others with proposals, budgeting, consulting operation plan, P/L tabulation and business case development to gain investments, growth and profitability for MWAA Labs.

Develops, analyzes and interprets consulting and operation business intelligence and its associated supporting tools and capabilities.

Keeps abreast of aviation industry technology trends and the impact on MWAA Labs capability roadmap; reorients resources to drive innovation as needed.

Provides inputs and guidance to installation, upgrade, and patches to MWAA Labs products, solutions and services to ensure minimal to no impacts to business operations and customers.

Supervises consulting team on applications systems testing, user training, troubleshooting, configuration management on all layers and documentations. Ensures that all procedures and all application configurations and customizations are documented and kept current.

Serves as a liaison between software products development team and customers during deployment and support operations thereafter.

Provides expert guidance with knowledge transfer and compilation of support documents for MWAA Labs products, solutions and services.

Oversees operations of software application services, including monitoring, incident resolution, problem management, configuration and change management, service desk, and routine updates/upgrades.

Provides 24x7x365 Level-1, Level-2, and Level-3 operations and support for software application services, including hosting, disaster recovery, scanning, archiving, data repository, and remote operations services.

Ensures successful backup or replication of customer data in a secure manner; implements and oversees security policy, monitoring, and guidelines for cloud services; conducts root cause analysis; and prepares after-action reports. Establishes software disaster recovery operations that include annual restore testing for customers in addition to at-time-of-disaster recovery.

Develops, oversees, and performs Tier 2 support and event, incident, problem, configuration, and change management processes for cloud services and software application systems for Airports Authority and other customers. Collaborate with development team for Level – 3 issues.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Nine years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, team management, application development and operation support.

Five of the nine years of experience must include information technology implementation, and design/development/support experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of innovative software application products, solutions and services development and management, on cloud, mobile, social, COTS/SaaS, IoT and advanced technology cognitive platforms, including backend systems and supporting network connectivity.

Comprehensive knowledge of architecture, design, development, implementation and deployment experience with SDLC principles, agile development, configuration and release management best practices, and ability to administer and maintain the supporting system to support configuration management and address incident and problem management.

Skill in information technology capability implementation on all layers of technology systems.

Knowledge of supervisory principles and ability to manage the operations and programs of the unit/team.

Ability to perform detailed analyses on market spaces and delivers recommendations with rollout plan along with associated resource, risk and cost plan.

Ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on collaborating and communicating technical elements to nontechnical audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

EDUCATION

A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED

Must have one of the following certifications: Certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation from an Examination Institute (EI) accredited by AXELOS; Certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM); Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP®) or Program Management Professional (PgMP®) from the Project Management Institute, or equivalent certification; or Certification in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) – Level 1 and Level 2.

NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS

Work effort shall be carried out in any Airports Authority's facilities, business partners and/or customers locations.

Must be able to carry and lift equipment weighing 20 pounds or more during rollout and support operations.
