Responsibilities

The Supervisory Program Analyst:
  • Directs, coordinates, and oversees inputs to the Department's strategic plan and FTA's internal strategic planning process.
  • Directs, coordinates, and oversees Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and program evaluation.
  • Directs, coordinates, and oversees performance activities under the Government Performance Results Act.
  • Directs, coordinates and oversees responses to to program audits by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the Office of Inspector General (OIG).

The ideal candidate for this position is expected to have extensive experience with strategic planning principles and practices and of the interfaces between strategic planning and effective business practices.
Also have experience auditing data used for performance measures and be able to conduct program evaluations.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.

To qualify for the Grade 15, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-14, it must include:
  • Experience providing leadership and direction to a team or task force activities.
  • Experience managing major projects from formulation of requirements, resource identification, project execution and after-action review.
  • Experience developing, managing, presenting, and auditing performance measures and strategic plans in a public sector organization.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
