The Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance Manager will be responsible for the technical architecture, solutioning, and implementation of enterprise-wide data governance solutions involving structured and unstructured data. As a trusted partner and data thought leader, the successful candidate will support large, strategic, cross-disciplinary business change efforts.

Your Work Falls into Four Primary Categories:

Data Governance Solutioning and Implementation
  • Establish and govern an enterprise wide data governance and data quality roadmap, including necessary IT solutions and/or external services
  • Serve as a liaison between the business and IT and ensure that data related requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and well understood
  • Proactively champions the value of information (data) as a strategic business asset and revenue generator by providing the business and strategy teams with ideas and promoting those ideas into action; including developing and implementing communication, learning, change management and adoption plan
  • Create and maintain DG policies, playbook(s), processes, procedures for guiding various data management processes, including data security and privacy, data quality control and data dissemination activities
  • Align data management practices with regulatory requirements

Project Execution & Administration
  • Excellent communicator with great interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as the ability to write well and translate complex issues into simple language that people who are not experts can understand
  • Highly developed skills in priority setting and alignment of project priorities with Departmental strategy

  • Prior hands on experience with multiple data technologies and processes such as data management, data architecture, data integration, master data management, data quality, and metadata management
  • Expert on industry leading data quality and data governance practices
  • Knowledgeable of data related government regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) and emerging trends and issues
  • Knowledgeable in tools used to identify and manage structured and unstructured data
  • Expert using data governance technologies such as Collibra and Informatica EDC
  • Defined and implemented information lifecycle management practices
  • Typically has 8+ of related experience
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills.

  • Experience in a compliance environment
  • PMP Certification
  • Masters Degree or MBA from an accredited university with coursework in Business, Information Technology, or Engineering.
