The Tax Accountant serves as a subject matter expert to the Institution and is responsible for all aspects of the preparation and filing of Forms 990 and 990-T. The positon requires the ability to research various situations and advise management on potential tax implications; the ability to work independently and collaboratively with personnel from across the Institution; the ability to analyze accounting data, records, and reports to assure appropriate tax treatment; and the ability to analyze various investment vehicles for proper 990-T reporting.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience preparing and filing Forms 990 and 990-T for complex, not-for-profit organizations and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with C-Trac software and CPA a plus.
