Commercial Site Superintendent Bartenfelder Landscape Service, Inc. Located in Harford County, MD is a full-service commercial landscape / site work contractor, we provide professional services for all areas of landscaping and specific site work tasks including: construction, pavers, retaining walls, sediment and erosion control measures, site stabilization, light grading & earthwork, storm water management facilities, wetland & stream restoration, reforestation, etc As the area s leader in Making Outdoors Outstanding and a rapidly growing company we are currently seeking full time commercial Site Superintendent. Responsibilities: Communicate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, employees, attend project related meetings, regularly communicate with project manager for project related issues and scheduling, document all pertinent communication with GC, Owners, Architects, etc. Manage production of commercial site work and landscape crews including but not limited to: consistent and orderly morning and evening crew organization of materials for daily work, train and oversee crews, assign crews, prioritize daily work lists, ensure the completion of daily work sheets and weekly reports, track efficiency and quality to ensure projects are being completed on budget, on time and to the customers satisfaction. Ability to clearly read and understand project specifications / blueprints to determine daily needs for crew members, materials and equipment. Ability to layout specific scopes of work as shown on plans including but not limited to, hardscapes, plant installations, retaining walls, and other landscape elements of work. Ability to transport equipment (skid loader, mini-excavator, etc..) to and from jobsites. Coordinate and direct purchased material deliveries to the project to expedite schedule. Continuing to drive productivity improvements while maintaining quality and efficiency in a timely manner. Develop and maintain business relationships with Owners, Architect/Engineers and Construction Managers as necessary to ensure future business opportunities. Ability to recognize areas of improvement on our sites and identify potential hazards. Perform daily site visits to oversee all field personnel. Promote site safety and encourage / enforce safe work practices, tracking and enforcing use of (PPE) personal protective equipment which includes conducting weekly toolbox talks. Embrace and enforce OSHA/MOSH and BLSI high standard safety requirements, establish and maintain a MSDS binder for all required products on the jobsite. Maintain a Valid driver s license/DOT and pass a background check. Our ideal candidate has 3 5 years experience with a strong background in the landscape, site work, and construction industry. Must have strong work ethic, highly motivated, possess effective oral and written communication skills, Bilingual helpful (Spanish), ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced work environment, proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and an understanding of equipment including skid loaders, mini excavators, tampers, rollers, etc.. (Drug test, DOT physical, and valid drivers license required)
