Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Chief of two major Military Health System Programs; Programming Training Program Evaluation Group (TTPEG) and, the Army Medicine Skills Sustainment Program (AMSSP).
  • Principal advisor and expert to the Director Health Care Operations for the US Army Medical Command (USAMEDCOM)/Office of The Surgeon General (OTSG) in development and execution of major Planning, Programming, and Budget Execution (PPBE) functions.
  • Provide expertise and program management for all USAMEDCOM-wide development and implementation of Military to Civilian skill sustainment programs.
  • Lead integration of readiness opportunities between military treatment facilities (MTFs) and civilian healthcare partners.
  • Serve as the Army Medical Directorate (AMEDD) Program Manager for TTPEG MDEPs (Management Decision Packages).

  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
  • This position is designated as Key. For positions located within the Continental US (CONUS), the position cannot be vacated during war or national emergency without seriously impairing the mission.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: lead training integration programs leading to the integration of healthcare facilities or organizations; coordinate training, educational support, leader development and/or individual requirements related to training partnership initiatives; develop operational vision and strategy plans; develop partnership program initiatives and sustainment plans for healthcare organizations; provide recommendations for partnership policy and/or guidance changes for future integration of partnership requirements; and oversee the development and refinement of budgets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
