Intrusion Detection Systems Analyst, Mid
Key Role:

Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Perform Computer Security Incident Response activities, coordinating with other government agencies to record and report incidents. Monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues for remediation, evaluate firewall change requests, and assess organizational risk. Communicate alerts to agencies regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications, and operating systems. Assist with the implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls. Ensure the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices. Perform periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system, and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with intrusion detection monitoring, incident management activities, and data security administration

-Experience with the life-cycle of network attacks

-Knowledge of the incident response process

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or Cyber

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response tools, including Carbon Black, Encase Cybersecurity, and Tanium

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-DoD 8570 IAT Certification
