Responsibilities

Serves as a Management Analyst in the EEO Section and assists in carrying out program responsibilities.

Involved in developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on or improving the effectiveness of work methods, and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, management controls, information and documentation systems, and/or similar functions of management.

Responsible for entering data and maintaining the tracking system that tracks the EEO complaints generated by Bureau staff, applicants, and retirees.

Responsible for generating reports to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Justice, the Bureau's Executive Staff and any other sources.

Analyzes and reviews documentation procedures and controls, files, directives, forms, records control and disposal procedures information studies having impact on several organization throughout the activity with functions that are extensively interrelated.

Assist in planning and implementing Bureau compliance with new government-wide EEO laws and regulations.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements.

Education:

GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.

Graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

Graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

OR

Experience:

You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.

Some examples of this qualifying experience are:

GS-09:
  • Experience in reading, understanding and applying various policies, guidelines, regulations, and procedures.
  • Experience in analyzing and reviewing documentation procedures and controls, files, directives, forms, records control and disposal procedures and office automation.
  • Experience in tracking and establishing reporting deadlines and coordinating responses by determining appropriate follow-up procedures.
  • Experience utilizing computer software to design reporting formats to include developing spreadsheets to make comparisons, highlight errors or identify trends.
  • Experience with the neutral processing of administrative Equal Employment Opportunity complaints.

GS-11:
  • Experience in conducting studies, fact finding, gathering data and exchanging of information to resolve problems, clarify issues and propose solutions/recommendations.
  • Experience in analyzing management's objectives and the ongoing operating programs and their relative value in the overall goals of the organization.
  • Experience utilizing computer software to design reporting formats to include developing spreadsheets to make comparisons, highlight errors or identify trends.
  • Experience utilizing Equal Employment Opportunity databases and software programs, such as iComplaints, to enter data, track information and generate reports.
  • Experience with the neutral processing of a administrative Equal Employment Opportunity complaints.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience:

GS-09 and GS-11: Have a combination of education and experience. This experience must have equipped you with the qualifications necessary to perform the major duties of this position as described above.

The representative rate for this position is $76,541 per annum ($36.68 per hour).
