Dewberry Architects Inc. is currently seeking a Project Architect to join our Fairfax, VA team. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate!

Responsibilities

• Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture) and a minimum of 8 years of experience is required.
• Professionally Licensed Architect with ability to obtain reciprocity in Virginia is required.
• Experience in one or more of our diverse market segments including Federal Government, Justice, Municipal, and/or Healthcare is desirable.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills required.
• Demonstrated experience with REVIT, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office.
• Digital and traditional rendering abilities and graphic experience a plus.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and a sustainable design credential is preferred.
• A portfolio demonstrating design and technical experience will be required.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Provide hands-on design and technical expertise for assigned projects while mentoring and monitoring work performed by other team members
• Coordinate the work of consulting engineers
• Possess knowledge of local code requirements and ability to efficiently interface with agencies having jurisdiction.
• Assist in the production of project documents, including conceptual drawings through construction documents.
• Perform material, product selection and research and develop associated specifications.
• Be a team player who enjoys collaborating and seeks creative, innovative solutions for our clients.

Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
