Dewberry Architects, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Fairfax, VA team. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate!

Responsibilities

  • Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture) and a minimum of 10+ years of experience is required.
  • Professionally Licensed Architect with ability to obtain reciprocity in Virginia is required.
  • Experience in one or more of our diverse market segments including Federal Government, Justice, Municipal, and/or Healthcare is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Confident and effective interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Comfortable participating in Business Development and marketing activities.
  • Collaborative approach to all aspects of the practice.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Digital and traditional rendering abilities and graphic experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and a sustainable design credential is preferred.
  • A portfolio demonstrating design and management experience will be required.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Work closely with the Office Leadership to diversify and expand our Portfolio.
  • Work closely with Clients, managing relationships and day-to-day individual project needs.
  • Supervise internal Teams to conceptualize, design and produce project documentation.
  • Participate in Business Development and Marketing activities, independently and in conjunction with others, including development of proposals and participating in client interviews. Work directly with new & existing clients to develop and maintain robust relationships, including day-to-day Project Management for key projects.
  • Set, monitor and maintain project budgets, work plans, and schedules through all phases of the project.
  • Develop project scope / fees and manage client/consultant invoicing, consultant agreements and contracts.
  • Managing project team resources; advises Office Director of resource and schedule needs.
  • Provide Quality Control reviews to assure document accuracy for client(s), consultant(s) and project team(s).
