Summary

This position is located in the Department of Commerce, Office of Legislative, Education and Intergovernmental Affairs (OLEIA), Washington, District of Columbia. The primary purpose of this position supports the development and implementation of the MBDA strategic alliances program, particularly,the outreach and public engagement of stakeholders and constituents.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison with internal departments and/or external partners to ensure stakeholder needs are fulfilled effectively.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relations with organizations and strategic partners to include them in MBDA?s programs and initiatives; and represents the MBDA at stakeholder program and policy events.
  • Develops and distributes regular communications to Agency stakeholders to increase awareness of business development programs, initiatives and resources being offered by the MBDA, Department of Commerce and partners.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.

Specialized Experience:GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties:
  • Coordinating stakeholder outreach and public involvement principles, concepts, practices, methods and techniques;
  • Assessing public reaction and identifying extent of understanding achieved to evaluate effectiveness of information programs; and
  • Creating/utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) tools in support of stakeholder management.
OR three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, e.g. LL.M. at an accredited college or university in a field that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to conduct the work of this position; or a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.

Specialized Experience:GS-12: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties:
  • Assessing public reaction and identifying extent of understanding achieved to evaluate effectiveness of information programs;
  • Creating/utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) tools in support of stakeholder management; and
  • Developing new information materials aimed at enhancing the understanding of groups or individuals of issues of an public agency's public affairs program.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
