Job Summary:
Westat is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to join the fast-paced corporate contracts unit. The ideal candidate will support the full life-cycle of contract management activities and lead a team of contracts staff.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the contractual activities for a specific research practice.
  • Lead and oversee a team of Contract Administrators and Specialists.
  • Review and negotiate all types of agreements, including Teaming Agreements, Contracts, Grants and Subcontracts.
  • Provide contractual and business guidance to Westat's research staff on matters related to proposals and contract activities.
  • Collaborate and provide support to various internal departments including: Accounting, Legal, Finance and Marketing.
  • Support the development of new contract templates and on-going updates of policies and process documents.
  • Perform risk-assessments and compliance reviews in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Coach, mentor and train team members.

Basic Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of federal contracts administration experience.
  • Management and leadership experience.
  • Experience working in the private-professional services sector.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating complex contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in business, law or contracts related discipline.
  • Advanced training and certifications.
  • Experience administering Health and Human Services contracts.
  • Familiarity with GSA schedules and Best-In-Class contracting.

Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; detail-oriented and work well in a team environment.
