Coordinator of Undergraduate Recruitment

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking a Coordinator of Undergraduate Recruitment for the Division of Professional Studies at Shady Grove. The Coordinator of Undergraduate Recruitment is a critical member of the UMBC-Shady Grove Administrative Team focusing on the recruitment of prospective transfer students in tandem with providing undergraduate applicants guidance and support through the admission and enrollment funnel.  Specific duties and responsibilities include: coordinates and implements recruitment and yield activities including but not limited to open houses, formal recruitment event programming, off-site visits, special programming, and orientations; counsels prospective undergraduate students with the application and admission processes through online webinars, application labs, and one-on-one meetings; organizes and conducts pre-transfer advising sessions (on-site at Shady Grove and off­site at local community colleges); advises prospective students on university general education and graduation requirements; actively tracks, reports, and analyzes undergraduate application and enrollment progress and trends; supports recruitment and academic advising needs within the transfer access/transition programs (TSA and R2R); assists in supporting New Student Orientation programming and Golden Ticket (pre-­orientation) advising needs; provides insight, voice, perspective, and support regarding recruitment and retention­ related marketing initiatives; develops and fosters relationships with UMBC's main campus, other USM institutions, USG partners, and community college colleagues; and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two years in higher education with experience in undergraduate admissions or transfer support work. 

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience in advising, customer service and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic tools to manage data and information.
