Senior Financial Analyst needed for a direct hire opportunity with SOC's client located in Chantilly, Virginia.ResponsibilitiesActive Secret clearance required for this position. This position works directly in conjunction with the Director of Business Management, Special Programs to provide financial and contractual oversight of the Special Programs' contracts. Primary responsibilities include monthly CDRLs, invoicing, oversite of the Independent Consultant payment process and various reconciliations ensuring proper cost accounting and coordination with the Program Management team. Manages the collection of key financial information in support of monthly close, budgeting/forecasting and reporting for Special Programs. Generates contractually required CDRLs and provides financial reports that are timely, accurate and complete. Works with Finance, Procurement and Operations to ensure that activities and transactions are properly recorded and reflected in the financial reports. Audits and reviews vendor and partner invoices prior to payment to ensure invoiced costs are valid and accounting information is appropriate. Oversees Independent Consultant payments to include verification of work days, pay rates and Task Orders. Ensures all supporting documents are accurate, complete and meet audit requirements. Monitors expenditures against contract funding and contract requirements. Analyzes cost to ensure complete and accurate invoicing that reconciles to financial records. Provides support to Special Programs' management as required (eg financial analysis, proposal support, BTA & P-Card assistance, etc.)Performs other duties as necessary (ie DBA reconciliation, internal and government support, etc.) Qualifications Must possess a security clearance at a minimum level of Secret with a background investigation within the last 5 years, Must possess analytical and reconciliation skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data, conduct research and identify and reconcile data discrepancies. Must be detail oriented, well organized and possess the technical skills and basic understanding of GAAP, CAS, and government accounting procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Must be able to work independently and as a contributing team member. Is flexible and comfortable with ambiguity.
