Per diem (as needed) weekend shifts 8a-4p

Qualified candidates will possess:
• High school diploma or GED
• EEG certification
• Min. 25 wpm typing
• Active Basic Life Skills CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Willing to obtain ACLS certifications within one year of full-time employment
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to handle multi task environment
• Basic PC skills such as Windows NT, and computerized EEG equipment

Work Schedule:

Per diem (as needed) weekend shifts 8a-4p

The tech performs EEG studies by using the proper electrode placement and technique as specified by the American EEG Society.
  • Reviews procedure with patients giving all the required instructions as contained in the departmental policy and procedure manual to facilitate testing.
  • Consults with physician and performs photic stimulation, hyperventilation, eye opening and closing, auditory and somatosensory stimuli.
  • Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; having knowledge of normal growth and development, and having an understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patient population served in the department as identified in the job description.
  • Performs routine equipment maintenance.
