Team member will support the day-to-day operations of the Financial Reporting Division at Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Responsibilities include but are not limited to the review and preparation of journal voucher (JV) entries; month-end as well as quarterly closing tasks to include various reconciliations by United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL), Limit and Fund. Other tasks include the review and analysis of various Trial Balances by USSGL.A successful candidate has knowledge of federal financial reporting and understanding of the USSGL, the Statement of Budgetary Resources (SBR), and the Funds Balance with Treasury financial management process. The candidate should have working knowledge of the SF-133 reconciliation and reporting process. Familiarity with the reconciliation of Trading Partners a plus.Specific Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and/or review monthly and quarterly JV packages for completeness, correctness, and accuracy. Reconcile assigned DTRA USSGL accounts and perform root cause analysis to identify problems. Reconcile various files from several general ledgers such as DAI, GFEBS, CEFMS, and STARs. Review DDRS-B and DAI JV logs for completeness and correctness. Review financial statement footnotes and reconcile to specific SGL and/or program. Research current guidance to ensure Agency is in compliance with current financial management and accounting requirements and reform initiatives, such as Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) accounting statements/concepts, OMB circulars and bulletins, OSD Comptroller guidance, the DoD Financial Management Regulation, and other Federal/DoD requirements. Please send your request to WWC HR.RequirementsBasic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Current, active Secret (or higher) security clearance. Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus. Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications. A working knowledge of SF-133 reconciliation and reporting process. A demonstrated understanding of accounting concepts including a working knowledge of GAAP, Treasury tie-points, adjustments, and footnotes. Working knowledge of United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL), Federal financial statements and budgets, and database analytics and visualization tools. Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications, specifically advanced Excel skills. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. WWC will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Preferred Qualifications CPA and/or CGFM a plus. Immediate availability. Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness experience. Familiarity with one or more of the following Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) accounting statements/concepts, OMB circulars and bulletins, OSD Comptroller guidance, the DoD Financial Management Regulation. Experience with one or more of the following DDRS-B, DAI, DAI, GFEBS, CEFMS, and/or STARs. At least one year's experience with a Military Department or Agency/Activity of the Department of Defense.
