iVeia is seeking an experienced (10+ years), self-motivated hardware design engineer to join our family of hard-working, fun-loving geeks and outcasts. Applicant must possess a freakish attention to detail. iVeia is a growing leader in high-performance edge computing products and solutions for the industrial, medical, automotive, military and IoT markets. Responsibilities:The successful candidate for this position will work with our existing product development team to assist in the design, development, maintenance and testing of new and existing products. The Senior Hardware Engineer is responsible for the complete design cycle of new products and will be required to evaluate parts and process for cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability. The candidate will work with product management to determine the best design approach and fit for meeting product requirements. The candidate will also be required to coordinate with partners and vendors to be informed of updates and changes to existing components while also aware of new component roadmap and technology updates and information. Qualified candidates will possess strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills along with implementation of good engineering practices. Required Skills:All aspects of schematic capture, layout, and simulation of printed circuit designs with an emphasis on high-speed digital designs and processor architectures.Generate manufacturing packages and coordinate with contract manufacturers.Assist with board bring up and debugging.Review and provide feedback on design proposals.Must possess problem solving skills, strong digital and analog design skills and the ability to troubleshoot in a methodical manner.Professional and clear verbal and written communication.Generate failure analysis and problem reports to management.Must be a US citizen. Desired Skills:Experience with high-speed digital design of 10Gbps+Experience with high-speed mixed signal designExperience in process development and ISO-9001 certification and maintenanceExperience with Xilinx Zynq and Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC productsAbility to write test plans, proposals, and other documentation peripheral to hardware design Personal qualities:Self-motivated and able to make progress with minimal supervision. Ability to analyze designs and issues in-depth.Methodical problem solver.Ability to work within a team environment.Able to prioritize and work within tight time scales to meet deadlines.Can interface with customers and vendors in a professional and clear manner. iVeia is located on the waterfront in the neighborhood of Canton in Baltimore, Maryland.
