If this sounds like the kind of place where you can thrive, keep reading! The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for a Software Test Engineer at our Leidos facility in Columbia, MD. The Engineer will support a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of large, collection systems. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. As a Software Test Engineer your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Develop test plans, procedures, cases, and reports for software projects. Perform software testing during development, test, and deployment phases. Execute quality assurance, and process improvement. Develop test data and define test acceptance criteria Independent testing and evaluation to include verification and validation, system verification testing, functional testing, and regression/ad hoc testing Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel Perform analysis of test results and preparing system reports. Write discrepancy reports. Perform regression testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software Ability to execute multi-task testing within multiple project teams Deploy SW to test and operational environments Conduct User Training. Basic Qualifications Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance Bachelors Degree in a technical field (Computer Science degrees will count toward experience requirements) Eight or more years related experience A minimum of 5 years of practical work experience in writing test procedures, performing testing, and documenting test results for software applications. Within the last 5 years, a minimum of 3 years experience with testing software running under either Microsoft Windows (XP or later) or UNIX (Solaris 8 or later or Redhat LINUX) Operating System.
