The Executive Kitchen Manager position is responsible for management of all culinary operations and duties in the restaurant. This role is directly accountable for the quality of food delivered to the guest and kitchen execution as well as driving profitable sales growth.Manages Guest ExperienceServes as Brand Ambassador to the Team Members, guests and vendors.Exhibits a professional image and professional behavior at all times.Ensures prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving objectives of the unit.Fosters a culture in accordance with Our Promise and maintains a positive, exciting and educational work environment.Effectively schedules all line and kitchen Team Members to meet sales demands.Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and Team Members.Enforces alcohol awareness on a shift-by-shift basis.Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards.Ensures constant tasting, inspection and constructive critique of all food being served at all times.Manages Team Member PerformanceDirects overall activities and performance of Team Members on a shift-by-shift basis.Promotes open dialogue with all levels in the restaurant by promoting honest and frank communication and creating a healthy, development driven work relationships with all Team Members.Provides a role model of self-management by remaining calm and composed at all times and provides leadership that is strong, consistent, trustworthy and inspiring to all Team Members.Oversees the quality recruitment and referrals of potential line and kitchen candidates.Responsible for development and implementation of training activities, both upon initial hire and ongoing, including culinary skills, customer service skills, company culture and product knowledge.Responsible for coaching, disciplining and educating all line and kitchen Team Members consistently and fairly to create and maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment.Takes an active role in identifying, educating, and promoting Team Members.Responsible for conducting effective store level meetings/huddles.Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.Manages Restaurant FinancialsResponsible for achieving company targets specifically; food cost, line and kitchen labor cost, and packaging.Reports progress towards achieving culinary objectives at management meetings.Ensures adequate departmental inventory levels.Oversees effective safety and security programs according to company policy and government standards and corrects unsafe practices or conditions.Promotes and manages line and kitchen organization, cleanliness and sanitation and is responsible for upkeep, maintenance, and cleanliness of the line and kitchen.Communicates with management team daily through management log and shift change meetings.Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels and implementing inventory controls and conducting full and partial inventory counts as needed.Responsible for ensuring all orders are placed with vendors, tracking order deliveries and managing all paperwork relating to ordering and receiving, including communication to the support center.Assures compliance with the local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.Complies with and manages all cash handling procedures and cash management exceptions.Responsible for preparing and submitting of accurate daily paperwork.Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department standards.Farm to plate and won't break the bank.
