Seeking a Property Accountant / Accounting Assistant to join a construction/real estate developer located in the Rockville, MD area. The firm has been around for decades and specializes in commercial properties. They are heavily involved with community outreach and volunteering for their local community. The Property Accountant / Accounting Assistant will be working alongside with the Corporate Accountant and supporting them with payroll and G/L reconciliations. They will also be responsible for managing a group of properties in all aspects of accounting. The ideal person will possess strong accounting, communication and leadership skills. Duties: .Manages the G/L, reconciliations, A/R and A/P. .Prepares annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations and property tax reconciliations. .Sets up new properties and tenant leases. .Ensures that all information regarding ownership, management fees and tenants are established and that the necessary general ledger accounts, financial reporting and tenant reporting is set up. .Reviews and inputs new tenants/leases and lease summaries to ensure deposits are received, rent amounts are established and key lease terms are accounted for. .Prepares monthly rent roll, rent increase letters, tenant delinquency letters/statements, utility billings, and accounts receivable reports. .Collects and deposits tenant checks and posts payments. *Interested, please forward your resume to Andrea Wilkinson at awilkinson@nri-staffing.com for immediate consideration!
