The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in Washington, DC represents more than 11,000 companies and provides more than 100 products and services to the business aviation community! The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of NBAA's event marketing program across all conventions, conferences, seminars, and forums in order to drive registration and exhibit sales and enhance key touchpoints of the event experience. In this role, you will also consider new strategic partnerships and leverage existing ones to expand market reach. Major Responsibilities include:Oversee strategic direction for the pre-show marketing of all events including approval of the production plan, new test strategies, and core creative materials.Oversee strategic direction for all on-site marketing at events, as well as engagement efforts to registered attendees and exhibitors leading up to the shows.Oversee the data analytics strategy, ensuring proper tracking to provide reporting and key metrics, and ultimately, data-driven decisions on real-time optimizations and future planning.Coordinate with the Tech Team and other key stakeholders to select and implement a marketing automation platform.Explore new strategic partnerships and leverage existing ones to expand market reach and identify new prospects, working with special interest groups, other associations, media partners, exhibitors, keynote speakers, high-end hotels, and others to drive new attendees to the shows.Develop and manage an annual marketing budget of about $1MM across all events and provide direction for end-of-year accruals.Coordinate with the SVP of Communications to develop a unique value proposition and messaging for the high net worth segment, along with a social influencer strategy to expand reach and create authentic engagement.Manage development, selection, and implementation of annual umbrella design updates for the three BACE properties and for NBAA conferences/forums and work with the membership and communications team to vet any association-wide brand updates that may impact event marketing.Initiate, vet, and oversee any new marketing initiatives and vendors for the program to better optimize the existing marketing and drive future innovation and success. Qualified candidates will offer an accredited Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience. NBAA is seeking professionals with a minimum of ten years of experience in Marketing, Advertising, or related field plus ten years of management experience. Ideal candidates will also have experience setting and managing budgets as well as using data analytics software and marketing automation platforms.
