GovernmentCIO is looking for Agile Coaches to join our Agile Transformation team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. This is a highly challenging role focused on business process reengineering, gap analysis, process improvement, and most importantly, defining SOPs that work for our clients and their partners.The individual must have a proven track record of training and transforming teams and programs to fully implementing Agile (Scrum or SAFe). The position alternates between virtual and on-site workdays, thus the individual must possess exceptional communication and meeting facilitation skills, in-person and virtual.Assess projects to determine their level of Agile maturity and use the data to tailor a training planCoach teams on Agile fundamentals and help them implement Agile ceremonies, identify the roles, and manage the respective artifactsFacilitate Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives and other Scrum ceremonies; Create and manage artifacts; and identify, implement, and track metrics.Identify stakeholders and change agents, and get their buy-in for recommended changesCommunicate projects' transformation progress via weekly updates to management highlighting successes, risks, areas of improvement, and suggested resolutionsAct as a thought leader in the Agile space and contribute to whitepapers, magazine articles, proposal writing, and authoring any similar literature that further our missionRequired Skills And ExperienceAt least 2 years of experience working in a software development shop as either a PM, BA, Developer, Tester, DBA, System Administrator or a combination of these roles.Minimum 5 years working in a pure Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps), with at least 2 years of actively coaching and transitioning teams, programs, and portfoliosThe individual must hold at least one Agile certificate. This includes PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), ICAgile Certified Professional/Expert, SAFe Agilist (SA), or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC4)Experience working with at least one the following Agile tools: IBM Rational (RM, CM, QM), CA Rally, JIRA or TFS, ALM, or VerionOneExperience with providing presentations to virtual and in person teamsProven leadership experience in IT delivery, building and sustaining high performing teamsAn effective communicator skilled in conflict resolution - exceptional soft skills are essentialBachelor's degree requiredPreferred Skills And ExperienceAgile coaching/facilitation certifiedDevOps certified with at least 2 years of experience implementing the methodologySAFe certified (any of the certifications) with at least 1 years of experience implementing the methodologyExperience working for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)Big 4 experiencesMaster's Degree (MIS or MBA)Solid IBM Rational experience (RM, CM, and QM)
