Challenging care of the most critically ill patients in Maryland who have sustained multiple traumatic injuries or a severe life-threatening single system injury. The 13-bed Trauma Resuscitation Unit admits critically ill patients, many with life- or limb-threatening injuries, from both the trauma scene and other facilities. The nursing staff maintains the highest level of critical care knowledge and skills, often exceeding the national average for certification. They work collaboratively with a unified approach toward the care of the patient The University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) with a desire to join our premier multidisciplinary team in our Shock Trauma Center Trauma Resuscitation Unit. What You Need to Be Successful: Qualifications include: -RN with minimum of 3-5 yrs Critical Care experience in at least a 12-16 bed Surgical and/or Trauma ICU required. Invasive monitoring experience required. Prior STC Trauma CC experience preferred. -Note: not able to consider ER experience as a replacement for ICU experience. -Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; -Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to compact state requirements outlined by the Maryland Board of Nursing We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
