Summary

The Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) serves the community of Inspectors General through its mission to address integrity, economy, and effectiveness issues that transcend individual Government agencies; and increase the professionalism and effectiveness of personnel by developing policies, standards, and approaches to aid in the establishment of a well-trained and highly skilled workforce in the offices of the Inspectors General.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Use standardized administrative practices and procedures to manage the agency's front office.
  • Recommend solution to problems in an organizational structure.
  • Ensures that information and materials required by the Executive Director for meetings and conferences are assembled and prepared in proper format.
  • Establishes and manages the records and filing system.
  • Proper disposal of records.
  • In-depth practical knowledge of Federal and Council regulations and directives.
  • Carry out fact-finding, analysis and evaluation functions governing the Council's administrative programs.
  • Ability to carry out delegated responsibility and authority to plan, schedule, and carry out major projects.
  • Makes decisions regarding what needs to be done based on an analysis of the subject under review.

Qualifications

GS-09 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level(s) in which you are applying:

Have (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service performing the following: (1) proofreading documents for correctness, readability, and conformance with procedures; (2) transmitting work product between internal and external collaborative agencies; (3) assisting in implementing administrative management systems to maintain staff records; and (4) providing staff support in the following; procuring office supplies, equipment requisitions, and coordinate request for personnel actions.

Qualify Ranking Factors:
The following are highly desirable for candidates to have a skill set in Advance Microsoft Suite (e.g. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) experience.
