Position Title: Senior Business Intelligence Developer Position Type: Exempt, Full-Time, Salary Position Summary: The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will work directly with customers and Agile project teams to implement an agency-wide Data Strategy. This role will build and deliver technical products using technologies such as SAS, Tableau, and Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) to meet evolving customer goals and objectives. The Senior Product Developer will collaborate with customers and Agile team members and will provide technical expertise and guidance based on practical experience. Deliver solutions that reduce manual data entry and aggregation to promote a data-driven culture. Develop actionable business intelligence products using technologies such as SAS, Tableau, and OBIEE. Consolidate data from disparate sources and prepare data sets for reporting using ETL. Incorporate network analytics to strengthen case adjudication and enhance risk identification. Deliver a unified case complexity model and intelligent automation to optimize data analyst time. Champion the use of Agile principles and practices to build a culture of trust, continuous improvement, and delivery within the team. Test and debug products to meet quality expectations and acceptance criteria. Actively participate in improving products by performing quality reviews. Ensure compliance with customer and VerticalApps policies & procedures, safety, state, and federal laws, regulations, and standards. Leadership Support business development activities such as technical challenges and proposals as needed. Guide less experienced technical team members. Qualifications: US citizenship required. Previous federal government contracting experience preferred. Active DHS clearance preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technology subject. 5+ years of practical experience implementing technical products or business intelligence solutions. Practical experience delivering valuable business intelligence solutions. Agile certification preferred (CSM, CSD). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: In-depth knowledge of business intelligence technologies (eg Oracle BI, SAS, Tableau). Ability to integrate data from disparate data sources within an organization using ETL. Knowledge of developments in data architecture, data modeling, data design and related processes. A strong grasp of the current and emerging developments in BI solutions. Experience with cloud solutions and DevOps preferred. Experience with build automation and automated testing preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and project team members. Able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and execute while under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflict. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. High-level of flexibility, creativity, and innovation. Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure. Strong written and oral communication skills.
