The Investments & Capital Markets (ICM) CFO department in Finance is seeking a highly-motivated Financial Accounting Senior to join the Derivative Team. In this role, the individual will for close cycle execution and financial result analysis for derivative in ICM. The ideal candidate is a "self-starter" with a desire to understand derivative concepts and a passion for baseline accounting.

Your Work Falls into These Three Primary Categories:


  • Perform or review daily and monthly validations/reconciliations reconciling between the subledger to general ledger to source systems
  • Prepare or review journal entries
  • Prepare or review monthly and quarterly analyses for analytical reports
  • Prepare or review quarterly footnotes or TIERR schedules
  • Research, resolve data or other issues as they arise in daily or monthly tasks

  • Support and coordinate with internal and external audit
  • Support SOX documentation requirements
  • Prepare ad-hoc requests when needed
  • Leverage financial industry experience to ensure that accounting is complied with GAAP and Freddie Mac policy

Project Management
  • Interact and communicate effectively with business and other upstream or downstream partners
  • Proactively seek opportunities for enhancements
  • Solve accounting or data issues with internal and external stakeholders (change management team, traders or valuation team etc.) in a transparent and timely manner
  • Solve complex business issues by putting pieces together and understanding how our systems work
  • Demonstrate ownership of problems, issues, or requests from start to finish. Facilitate appropriate handoffs, but track the item through resolution. Escalate proposed or actual solutions that do not adequately resolve the problem or satisfy the stated need
  • Work independently while driving and managing assignments from concept through deployment/launch


  • Typically has 5-8 years of accounting or reporting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills
  • Strong analytical skills
