The Project Management Senior role will be part of the I&CM BTO within the Financial Engineering Department at Freddie Mac. This role will co-ordinate activity across multiple divisions for projects that will range in complexity. This role will be responsible for the planning, monitoring, and status reporting activities from understanding the business requirements to successful project implementation. This role will manage scope, schedule, quality, risks and issues, impact on systems, and dependencies across teams and divisions within the company.

Your Work Falls into Two Primary Categories:

Project Management & Reporting

  • Manage assigned projects and activities from initiation to close-out
  • Define and track project milestones and project deliverables using appropriate tools while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
  • Support the management and planning of all project components including (but not limited to): scope management, development activities, and management of work plans
  • Participate and at times lead cooperative efforts with project team members representing multiple diverse groups and divisions - senior management, business users, business and technical analysts, software development teams within financial engineering, and independent reviewers and validators
  • Manage changes to project scope and schedule, resolve conflicts, and track reasons for the changes
  • Demonstrate ownership of problems, issues, or requests from start to finish; Facilitate appropriate handoffs, but track the item through resolution
  • Report project progress, issues, and risks through periodic status reports
  • Develop, manage, and report on metrics toward achievement of plans/projects
  • Performing additional job-related duties as requested


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience
  • Experience in project management of accounting/financial forecasting projects
  • College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to report on project level plans to technical and business partners
  • Strong facilitation skills and process-driven analytical skills
  • Software Skills: SharePoint, Microsoft Suite (MS Project, Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio)
