Responsibilities

  • Identify complex project issues, risks, or problems in assigned projects, and makes recommendations for, and coordinates, resolutions and improvements.
  • Evaluate policies and procedures affecting organizational project objectives.
  • Schedule and plan projects using Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
  • Direct the priorities of projects and measures progress toward reaching objectives effectively and economically.
  • Provide proposals, cost estimates and funding expenditures pertaining to various projects.
  • Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and reporting of all activity projects (e.g. business operations, administrative functions, programs, initiatives, or research activities).
  • Serve as Project Manager for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of specified projects for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).


Travel Required

Occasional travel - Occasional travel - The amount of business travel will vary depending on assignment and will generally be no more than 10%.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifications:
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: directing organizational projects (e.g. business operations, administrative functions, initiatives, research activities), manage organizational projects using Microsoft Project and SharePoint, and recommending solutions for various organizational projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Position is being filled at the GS-12 target GS-13 level. Duties described reflect the full performance GS-13 level. Duties will be performed in a developmental capacity under close supervision.
