Fairfax Radiological Consultants (FRC), PC is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist/Clinical Assistant for our Patient Center in Fairfax. Work full-time, Work Mon - Fri, approx 8:30am - 5:00pm in Fairfax, VA. This role requires someone who is composed, provides excellent customer service and empathy, effective communications, and is comfortable working independently, as well as in a team environment in a busy medical office. The duties are stated below. Assists with Front Desk, Clinic, and IR suite duties as needed. Schedule, reschedule, and check in patients at front desk. Effectively coordinates the daily workflow with the radiologist, pathologist and other staff members. Assists Physician, Technologist, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Nurse with procedures and patient care. Prepares patients for procedures in combination with scribes/RN's as needed. Remove and apply bandages and stockings for wound patients as needed. Effectively communicates pre and post procedure instructions to patients. Occasionally assists and holds patients if required during the imaging procedure. Ensures all supplies are stocked in all exam and procedure rooms along with MA's and RN's. Ensures an efficient and positive experience for our patients. Assume other related duties as requested. Requirements/Preferences: High School diploma; Minimum of 2 year's experience in a medical practice and either front/back office or Clinical Assistant experience. Current certification in Basic Life Support to assist patients. Must be able to handle up to 50 pounds to assist patients. Ideally has prior working experience as Medical Assistant/Clinical Technician in surgical procedures in an office setting. Strongly prefer MA/Clinical Tech certification. Experience with computers, multi-line telephones and ability to multi task are also important for this role. FRC offers generous benefits and competitive salary.
