Overview Peraton is seeking a Network Technician for a classified program to provide support to the Network Operations Center (NOC) providing Operations & Sustainment to wired and wireless network communications. Monitors network health and performs as first line of defense to take appropriate action toward resolving network problems as they appear. Detects, analyzes, and resolves network switching and transmission system problems while minimizing impact on customer service. Differentiates between primary and secondary network failures. Based on the severity or type of event, determines what additional resources are required. Issues service interruption reports. Responsibilities Provides technical and operation support in the installation for network, LANs/WANs and telecommunications equipment and systems. Provides technical support to end users and maintains overall functionality of and other networks. Activates/deactivates network lines according to established schedules. Interfaces with users and/or network vendors. Tests and analyzes elements of network facilities (power, communication machinery, software lines, modems, and terminals). Monitors systems and advises senior members of network staff of network failures or degradation and assists in arranging for corrective actions plans. Qualifications REQUIRED: High School graduate with 5+ years of proven network experience Minimum IAT Level I certification Must possess active TS/SCI security clearance; may be subject to a poly Familiar with Juniper network components SECURITY CLEARANCE: Qualfied candidates MUST have an active TS/SCI clearance and have the ability to maintain the clearance.
