Merakey is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join our IDD division in our Aylett, VA location. Rate: $23.00 per hour Schedule: As needed POSITION OVERVIEW The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct care and support to medically fragile adults with a diagnosis of intellectual disability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. This position assists individuals with activities of daily living, including hygiene, medication administration, meals, household chores, and enjoying the community. This position requires driving a large wheelchair accessible van, attending medical appointments with the individuals, interacting with family members, and participating in team meetings. This position helps people with intellectual and physical disabilities pursue their interests and gain greater independence.
