Graphic Designer
Key Role:

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Graphic Designer to develop graphics for project and program leadership, including infographics, ill us trations, posters, banners, templates, fact sheets, newsletters, and icons utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite. Provide graphical us er interface design, offer specialized expertise in the design and layout of graphical us er interfaces, including screen layouts and functionality for client-server applications, such as Micro sof t Windows presentation screens. Conduct studies and testing and evaluation of screen prototypes for functionality, ease of us e, efficiency, and accuracy.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with advanced desktop publishing, page layout, or typesetting sof tware to design and develop high quality textual and graphic compositions to communicate complex te chn ical information

-Experience with computer-based graphic art us ing commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) sof tware applications to edit and create original artwork, certificates, publications, charts, posters, forms, labels, brochures, meeting and conference handouts, slides, posters, and presentation aids and exhibits

-Experience with conducting studies, testing, and evaluation of screen prototypes for functionality, ease of us e, efficiency, and accuracy

-Knowledge of Web development programming tools, including HTML

-BA or BS degree or 2 years of professional work experience in lieu of degree

Additional Qualifications:

-BS degree in Information Systems, CS, Engineering, B us iness, or related field preferred
